Yikes! Ike!

Vernon got a call from his opposite on Sunday to let him know that one of his platforms was gone, stilts and all. Now, this wasn't just a little toadstool it was one of the largest platforms in the gulf. The helipad alone sits 100 ft off the water. The last wave recorded before it's little box recorder went out was 40 ft. Can you imagine such a huge wave right in the middle of the ocean? Thank goodness they evacuate!! So, they want Vernon to make a list of everything he had on the platform so he can be reimbursed. A laptop, an Playstation(Blu-Ray of course), our retirement savings, and a priceless family heirloom. J/K Luckily, he only had some flight uniforms which are easily replaceable. The hurricane pushed some beautfiul weather up our way. Now, it just needs to share it with the poor people down south, so they can get back to their homes those who are luck enough to have one left. Our prayer go out to those who have lost so much, I can't imagine having to start all over again.
