Eeva's Blessing

We were lucky enough to have everyone here from both sides of the family for Eeva's blessing. Thanks to all the family who trucked it up here for Thanksgiving and Eeva's blessing. I didn't get near the pictures I should have but I know my sis did so I'm going to have to steal them from her, but until then I did get a few.

My First Christmas Story

So before Grandma left, she got to read me my first Christmas story, which I fell asleep to. Let's just say Grandma has the touch.

Daddy Time

Eeva doesn't get to spend very much time with Daddy, but it's her most favorite time of all. There is no such thing as taking a nap when it's Daddy time. She will fight absolute exhaustion just so she can be awake when daddy is holding her.

Giving Daddy loves before he goes back to work.
Dad is trying to teach me the essential of praying.

Meeting My Cousins

So I decided to take Vernon down to the airport so Eeva could meet her cousins. You decide which side she takes after more.

Uncle Joe and Aunt Rox with my cute cousin Talon and my only girl cousin Aubrey.

Uncle Jake and cousin Bridger. We missed a picture with Aunt Britt.

Eeva's Firsts

Watching my first college football game with Dad, and we are sure there will be many more to come.

My first time in my Bumbo.

My First Halloween!!

My first time at church.

Whoo!! What a big first month!!! Happy one month Eeva!!!

My Favorite Baby Product

Who knew that a 2 dollar strip of fabric from Walmart would be my favorite baby item. The is the best thing ever. I get to cuddle with my baby and still be productive. It been a lifesaver at work. And best of all Eeva loves it, and I'm pretty sure she looks forward to it all day. She takes her best naps in it.

AAAGGGHHH!!!! NOT YET!!!!!!!!

So, after Sunday dinner I was loading the dishwasher and Vernon was doing tummy time with Eeva and he yells out "She flipped herself over!". Of course I think he doesn't know what he is talking about she is only two weeks old. Well, I didn't get the first time on camera, but this was later that night. What??? So now it's part of her daily tummy time, time to do her flips. I don't want to mess with thi girl when she gets older. She obviously takes after her daddy.

My First Visitors

Thanks so much to my mom who took three weeks out of her busy life to come and stay with me until Vernon made it home and Eeva was born. She only got to spend three days after Eeva was born, but we are looking forward to her next visit in a few weeks and when Eeva gets to meet Papa. We are so excited.

Grandpa and Grandma Richmond came to the hospital to visit. They live really close, so Eeva will be extra spoiled with all the attention.

Uncle Jake came to visit my first night home, so he could take Grandma back to the airport. We can't wait for all the rest of her Uncles and Aunts to come and visit. Soon, really soon.
She's Here!!

Sorry I'm running a little slow on getting this posted, but anyone who has had a newborn knows that there are too many other precious moments you don't want to be missing. So after a lot of prayers and Eeva being patient, her daddy made it home for her grand entrance. He got home Saturday afternoon from Basic Training and they started to induce me at 9:00 Sunday morning. So after over cooking for a week she came out a whapping 8lbs and 1oz, which was a shock because I was told up to delivery that she would only weigh about 6 1/2lbs. Suprise, Suprise!! She is a perfect baby and is already getting good sleep at night which mom and dad appreciate.

Dad's Home

Vernon made it home!!! I'm so proud of Vernon for serving his country, but Eeva and I were sure glad he made it home for our important day. I couldn't have done it without him. Okay, I could have, but I'm sure glad I didn't have to. Thank you for all the prayers and fasting that it would all come together. Someone must have been listening upstairs.

Eeva's Nursery

So, it turned out pretty contempory, but I love it. I sit in my glider every night before bed and enjoy her little room. Thanks to my mom and sister who helped me make the curtian and make my changing table out of an old desk. And thanks to Uncle Zach who paid for most of the crib.

New Living Room

Sorry, to everyone else that has to see this but my mom and I keep going back and forth on the phone about what I'm doing to my house and she wants to see pictures so here they are... I refinished my table this weekend and I thought it turned out pretty good. I'll have the nursery done this week, so I'll get pictures up of that next week.

Birthday Club Shower

Thanks so much to Birthday Club for the Baby Shower. My mom has the greatest set of friends here in Idaho. Thanks to Nat too for helping her mom with it, and for everyone rearranging their schedule so my mom and sis could be there. Eeva got some pretty cute things. Thanks.

Birthday Cake

Since I horrible at posting there will probably be quite a few posts today. This is my cute princess ice cream cake I got for my birthday, and my first photo proving that I'm pregnant. Thanks for a fun B-Day fam.

Little Eeva

Here is our sweet little Eevy. I love my ultrasound tech because she threw in a 3D shot to send to Vernon. Every time we have done an ultrasound Eevy has her hands above her head and this time she was holding on to her feet with her hands. So I won't be suprised if this is a habit when she comes out. She is a fiesty thing because when ever the tech pushed her with the ultrasound equipment she would kick at it. I think she looks a lot like Bridger, so I'm guessing she is more Nielsen than Richmond. That is her little arm resting over her forehead.

I hit the Jack Pot!!

Well, I thought I hit the jack pot last week, but I feel like a won the lottery this week. Our baby will have clothes, socks and shoes for the first year and a half all for only $150. A lot of the clothes still had tags on them. Go Garage Sales!!!

My New Hobby

So before I knew I was having a girl I went garage saleing and found an awesome find, but of course they were boy clothes, but I'll be able to use when our little guy comes along. All this for $25.

It's a....

Sorry, I haven't been very good at keeping my blog updated. But for those who haven't heard, we are having a little girl. I'm still not a hundered percent convinenced because I was so sure it was a boy, but I am so excited about a little girl. Who wouldn't be with all the girl things you can dress them in. So we will be welcoming little Eeva Dawn Richmond at the end of September. She is small, but perfectly healthy and we can't wait to have her here.

Playing Catch-Up

So those who haven't heard through the grapevine or the two seconds it took for everyone to figure it out on Facebook, I'm pregnant. Right now my due date is mid-September, but my doctor seemed a little unsure about that so it might change. Vern and I are so excited, but also a little anxious because our lives are about to change. We are so happy to be home to start our family. I still think sometimes that I am way to young to be having a baby, but then I have have to remind myself that I'm not twenty anymore. (I have been stuck at twenty for the past seven years). Vern and I will be excited with whatever we have, but I have a feeling it's a boy. We'll find out in a month.

Family! Family!

So this was probably the most exciting and traumatic weekend of my life. So it is a miracle if the Nielsen family is able to get together more than once a year. Well, we had a little miracle. Bridger Scott Nielsen. We had all gotten together for this little bundle of joy's baby blessing. Vernon's brother Joe also had a baby two month ago and Aubrey Ann's blessing was the same day. So needless to say it was a family filled weekend. Well, we were having a great time catching up, when we had an unexpected emergency. My sweet nephew Braxton who hadn't been feeling well the whole weekend was rushed to the hospital Saturday night, and was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. Our hearts and prays are with my Sis and her little family as they are on a huge learning curve and we are so happy that Braxton is still here with us. Brandy has posted more about his progress on her blog.

Happy Anniversary/Valentine's Day Babe!!!

So this year's Love month was looking like the last few years. I was going to spend our Anniversary and Valentine's Day alone. Tear. Well, our Anniversary arrived right in the middle of Vernon's shift, but that sweet boy is learning, delivered where the most beautiful set of flowers I have ever received.

So the day after our anniversary Vernon calls me in the middle of the day (not normal because he is usually flying) and says that is sick and he has to come home. Yeah!! He came home and sad that he was sick. So I got his plane ticket changed and drove to SLC to pick him up. He didn't get in until 11:30 so I got to take a side trip and see my perfect new little nephew. Pictures in a post to come. So we got Vernon home and took him to the doctor the next day and he had sinunits and broncitis. Poor Boy! BUT... He was home for Valentine's Day, and not only that he was home for 21 days. Talk about a great month. So to my Sweetheart, I say I love you and this has been the best three years of my life. Heavenly Father was so kind to help me snatch the best husband in the world, even though I don't deserve him. He is so kind and thoughtful and so willing to give me whatever I want. Sometimes I feel like it's not fair that I can't be with him every second, but I am grateful for the time we do have together and we will have. Thanks for being my best friend.

It's Final!! We are moving to IF

So I know at the moment a lot of you are saying WHAT??, but it's true. Yes, we have gone crazy. There really is no logic in making a move to IF except that we both feel that is where we need to be. During our trip up to visit Vernon's parents over the New Years we were both overwhelmed with the feeling that it's where we needed to be. I just signed a lease this week, so we will be moving when Vern gets home from his shift next Friday. So everything is in place except I am jobless and feeling worthless. So if you know of anyone looking for a drafter or and office manager have them give me a call. Because it's not what you know it's who you know. Thanks for all of the support from all of our friends and family. We certainly miss our family and friends in Texas, but are so looking forward to spending time with family and friends in our new home.
