It's a....

Sorry, I haven't been very good at keeping my blog updated. But for those who haven't heard, we are having a little girl. I'm still not a hundered percent convinenced because I was so sure it was a boy, but I am so excited about a little girl. Who wouldn't be with all the girl things you can dress them in. So we will be welcoming little Eeva Dawn Richmond at the end of September. She is small, but perfectly healthy and we can't wait to have her here.

Playing Catch-Up

So those who haven't heard through the grapevine or the two seconds it took for everyone to figure it out on Facebook, I'm pregnant. Right now my due date is mid-September, but my doctor seemed a little unsure about that so it might change. Vern and I are so excited, but also a little anxious because our lives are about to change. We are so happy to be home to start our family. I still think sometimes that I am way to young to be having a baby, but then I have have to remind myself that I'm not twenty anymore. (I have been stuck at twenty for the past seven years). Vern and I will be excited with whatever we have, but I have a feeling it's a boy. We'll find out in a month.

Family! Family!

So this was probably the most exciting and traumatic weekend of my life. So it is a miracle if the Nielsen family is able to get together more than once a year. Well, we had a little miracle. Bridger Scott Nielsen. We had all gotten together for this little bundle of joy's baby blessing. Vernon's brother Joe also had a baby two month ago and Aubrey Ann's blessing was the same day. So needless to say it was a family filled weekend. Well, we were having a great time catching up, when we had an unexpected emergency. My sweet nephew Braxton who hadn't been feeling well the whole weekend was rushed to the hospital Saturday night, and was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. Our hearts and prays are with my Sis and her little family as they are on a huge learning curve and we are so happy that Braxton is still here with us. Brandy has posted more about his progress on her blog.

Happy Anniversary/Valentine's Day Babe!!!

So this year's Love month was looking like the last few years. I was going to spend our Anniversary and Valentine's Day alone. Tear. Well, our Anniversary arrived right in the middle of Vernon's shift, but that sweet boy is learning, delivered where the most beautiful set of flowers I have ever received.

So the day after our anniversary Vernon calls me in the middle of the day (not normal because he is usually flying) and says that is sick and he has to come home. Yeah!! He came home and sad that he was sick. So I got his plane ticket changed and drove to SLC to pick him up. He didn't get in until 11:30 so I got to take a side trip and see my perfect new little nephew. Pictures in a post to come. So we got Vernon home and took him to the doctor the next day and he had sinunits and broncitis. Poor Boy! BUT... He was home for Valentine's Day, and not only that he was home for 21 days. Talk about a great month. So to my Sweetheart, I say I love you and this has been the best three years of my life. Heavenly Father was so kind to help me snatch the best husband in the world, even though I don't deserve him. He is so kind and thoughtful and so willing to give me whatever I want. Sometimes I feel like it's not fair that I can't be with him every second, but I am grateful for the time we do have together and we will have. Thanks for being my best friend.

It's Final!! We are moving to IF

So I know at the moment a lot of you are saying WHAT??, but it's true. Yes, we have gone crazy. There really is no logic in making a move to IF except that we both feel that is where we need to be. During our trip up to visit Vernon's parents over the New Years we were both overwhelmed with the feeling that it's where we needed to be. I just signed a lease this week, so we will be moving when Vern gets home from his shift next Friday. So everything is in place except I am jobless and feeling worthless. So if you know of anyone looking for a drafter or and office manager have them give me a call. Because it's not what you know it's who you know. Thanks for all of the support from all of our friends and family. We certainly miss our family and friends in Texas, but are so looking forward to spending time with family and friends in our new home.

I finally brought my camera!

After all of the games that we gone to I finally brought my camera for proof. Our finally game was a Star's game. I love hockey and would take it over the Mavericks any day.

My company tickets have a complimentary buffet before the game. Seriously, it has been some of the funnest food I've ate.

Isn't he cute?

Happy Thanksgiving All!!

Wow, has it been a crazy two weeks. A few months ago my boss asked if I would come out with his family to California for Thanksgiving. Well, Vernon was working until Thanksgiving day so why not, I thought. I agreed to it as long as he flew Vernon out after his shift for the last few days we were supposed to be there. So, I frantically tried to finish my classes before we left, and I did. (98% in one class and 97% in the other, yes I'm bragging) We left on Nov 21 on their private jet for California. We spent most of time going between his two homes, and private golf and tennis lessons for his grandsons. I spent most of my time in a golf cart driving them around the country club. I've never had such a relaxing work trip in my whole life. There are a bunch of other crazy things that I got to witness first hand, but I won't bore you. Needless to say, my arm is bruise from pinching myself so much to stay in reality. I left for Riverside on Thursday to spend the weekend with Vernon's family. Vernon finally flew in Friday afternoon after a frustrating day of missing flights. I shopped my first Black Friday. Yikes!! We got to meet Byron's girlfriend, what a cutie. After a great weekend with the Richmonds we drove back up to Palm Spring to fly home on the jet. My boss had a little negotiation with Vernon to try to get us to stay in Texas, but it didn't work. And for those of you who don't know, we are moving to Utah the day after Christmas!!! Yahoo!!!

For anyone who has a couple million to spare, private jets are definitely the ultimate in travel.
